About Camp

Located in Matthews, NC, The Greatest Camp on Earth offers something for every martial artist. Packed with more than twenty hours of training over a span of three days, a few of the arts covered include multiple forms of Jujitsu, Akido, Karate, and Judo. With an emphasis on Judo, this camp includes opportunities for rank testing, kata instruction, and coaching and referee certification. Additionally the camp offers training and some certifications in First Aid, CPR, kappo, massage, and healing arts.

We also offer a unique environment for kids called the Kids' Zone. We've grouped juniors flexibly. Four-to-twelve-year-olds will have challenging 40-minute classes with every judo headliner, intermixed with 10-minute randori sessions and snack breaks. Each afternoon they will enjoy a cartoon movie with popcorn, Legos, and coloring in the Kids' Zone. We believe they will learn more on the kids' mats because of the difference in scheduling. However, if they wish to move to and from the adult sessions, they are welcome to do so under parent's or coach's guidance. Children choosing to train on the adult mat should check in and out at the Kids' Zone so we know they are safe and sound. (We don't want to send out an Amber Alert when a child is actually on the big mat with coach or parents).

And that's not all... camp fees include catered lunches, buffet style dinner, and a free t-shirt. There are opportunities for adult attendees to socialize after hours at their choice of locations. And finally there is even more for the kids including a pool party, super hero night, and snow party. Complete details, instructors, and schedules will be posted as they become available closer to camp time. For now, feel free to explore the website for more information.
